    What is Juvederm?

Juvederm is an injectable filler which corrects wrinkles and folds in the facial area. Classified by the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Juvederm is becoming one of the most popular non-surgical, anti-aging treatments in the United States. Juvederm is one of the first treatments proven to be highly effective and safe for people of color as well, because in the past certain treatments lacked results in people of color.

    What is Juvederm made of?

Juvederm is made primarily from hyaluronic acid, which is a material found in the human body. This product promotes the hydration of the skin as well as the restoration of its volume and firmness. This gel is manufactured in a unique way using hyaluronic acid concentration. It is FDA approved for safety and efficiency. It’s considered to be one of the more natural face lifting treatments and leans on the safer side compared to other products and procedures.

    Does it hurt?

Juvederm contains lidocaine, which is a kind of pain reliever. You’ll receive an injection, but it won’t be painful. It’s a gentle, comfortable injection and you’ll barely feel a thing! After the injections take effect, you won’t have any harsh pain or discomfort.

How soon will the results  be evident?

After the procedure, the results are immediate. Juvederm provides instant improvement in the areas it’s treating. A majority of clients will have only one treatment to achieve the enhancements they are looking for. Juvederm has been called a ‘lunchtime procedure’ meaning it can easily be administered in as little as 15 minutes, providing quick and noticeable results.

Did you know? Juvederm is considered to be the “future” in dermal filler technology. It’s not produced with any kind of animal tissue and is safer than most skin enhancing treatments.

    Who can administer Juvederm?

A plastic surgeon or Juvederm specialist is your best bet when looking for a doctor who can safely administer this treatment. It’s important to consult with your primary physician before going forward with the treatment. Some important questions to ask a Juvederm doctor include:

    1. How many years of experience do you have with this treatment?
    2. What is the average cost of treatment?
    3. What do you need to know about my medical history before going forward with treatment?
    4. Will you show me before- and- after photos of the procedure?
    5. How soon will my results come?
